Robert Hankinson is a cybersecurity expert, currently serving as the Information Integrity Branch (IIB) Chief at the U.S. Department of State (DOS). Robert manages and provides oversight for the Department’s Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Antivirus, and Mainframe Security programs. Throughout his 20-year career, Robert has been dedicated to improving the security of federal networks and increasing the protection of sensitive data. Robert also serves in a variety of external federal bodies and working groups. Currently, is the DOS voting member on the Federal PKI Management Authority (FPKIPA) and is active in the Identity Credential and Access Management Subcommittee (ICAMSC).
Previously, Robert was a co-chair of the Committee on National Security Systems PKI Member Governing Body (CNSS PKI MGB). In addition to his other accomplishments [DRL2] , Robert is also a finalist of the National Security Agency’s 2017 Frank Byron Rowlett award, which recognizes outstanding individual excellence in the field of information security.
