Maria E. Temiquel

Maria E. Temiquel has been serving, protecting, and advancing education and employment goals throughout her federal career. Ms. Temiquel brings extensive experience in strategic development and implementation, building a progressive performance management culture. She has been successful in budget formulation and execution as well as leadership and implementation of employer and community outreach programs. Currently, she is responsible for the management and administration of grants and training. She leads a team that develops national policy and processes, establishes program goals and expected outcomes, and formulates and executes the program budgets.
Prior to her appointment to Veterans’ Employment and Training (VETS), Ms. Temiquel worked in the Office Job Corps at the Department of Labor (DOL). In her eleven years with Job Corps, she held several positions, ultimately serving as the Deputy National Director. Before coming to DOL, she was the Coordinator of Multicultural Educational Services for Sauk Valley and Rock Valley Community Colleges through Western Illinois University.
In addition to her professional career, she has a long career serving with the United Service Organization (USO), the Honor Flight network, and as Trustee and Chair of the Sigma Lambda Gamma Education Foundation. As a White House Fellow, Ms. Temiquel is assigned to the Made in America Office.
