Jerri Marr

Department of Agriculture

2018 fellow

Jerri is the Assistant Director for Recreation, Heritage and Volunteer Resources (RHVR) for the USDA Forest Service in Washington D.C. She serves as an expert and program authority in the planning and coordination of outdoor recreation program policies, and is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to the national recreation program. She previously served as the Forest Supervisor for the Pike and San Isabel National Forest Cimarron & Comanche National Grasslands, covering 3.5 million acres across Colorado and Kansas.

Jerri started her 30 year career with the Forest Service two weeks after graduating high school and has served in many positions on various forests, from public affairs specialist to forest supervisor. She received a B.S. in Forestry and Natural Resource Management from the University of Tennessee. In her spare time, Jerri is a motivational speaker, avid photographer, and enjoys traveling with her family and friends.
