Mission
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facilitates lawful travel and trade, protects revenue, secures the border, combats transnational crime, and counters terrorism. Over a million times each day, CBP officers welcome international travelers and returning U.S. citizens into the United States. On a typical day, CPB processes $9.2 billion of imported products, conducts more than 7,000 enforcement encounters at ports of entry, and operates in 22 countries.

Enabling trusted travelers to enter the country quickly with Global Entry (GE)
Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival into the United States. Global Entry’s more than 12 million members can now use the Global Entry Mobile Application, a free mobile app, that streamlines the experience of entering the United States for Global Entry members, and reduces wait time and congestion for all travelers.
Improving import-related data sharing and transfers through CBP’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is the electronic system through which the trade community reports imports and exports. The ACE Portal offers users real-time access to trade data through features such as ACE Reports, ACE account management, and electronic communication with CBP and Partner Government Agencies (PGA). CBP is prioritizing the development and implementation of tools that will make the process of transmitting data to CBP more efficient and user-friendly.
