Kiran Ahuja, Director of the Office of Personnel Management, delivered a keynote address and Loren DeJonge Schulman, Associate Director for Performance and Personnel Management at the Office of Management and Budget, provided the opening remarks. The webinar centered around initiatives aimed at strengthening early career talent within federal agencies as part of the PMA.

If you missed the live event, don’t worry! You can catch up by watching the complete video of the webinar below. The video includes closed captioning for accessibility.

The webinar included a panel discussion that showcased the real-life experiences of former federal interns. Teika Carlson, Special Assistant to the OPM Director, moderated the conversation, which provided insights into the interns’ early career journeys. They shared their personal stories and shed light on the opportunities and challenges they encountered while working in the Federal Government.

The panel included the following former interns:

  • Caroline King, Statistician at the Federal Aviation Administration in the Office of Civil Rights
  • Anna Setzer, Transportation Specialist at the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) within the Department of Transportation (DOT)
